Lakefront Reservation (part of the Cleveland Metroparks) consists of Edgewater Park, Edgewater Marina, Edgewater Yacht Club, Gordon Park , the East 55th Street Marina, the Forest City Yacht Club, the Inter-City Yacht Club, the Lakeside Yacht Club, Rivergate Park, Euclid Beach, Whiskey Island, and the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. With these locations spread out along the Lake Erie shore, Lakefront Reservation can be called the “emerald necklace”. We visited the area around the Lakefront Nature Reserve and Inter-City Yacht Club. There were both a paved path and grass paths along this part of the reservation. There is a birding trail and an overlook of the reservation with views of Lake Erie. One path lead to the Inter-City Yacht Club with an awesome view of Lake Erie as well. There were a bunch of benches, picnic tables, and grills around the reservation. The only downfall was there are no dogs allowed in the Lakefront Nature Preserve part of the Reservation. I had no idea about this until we got there and seen the sign at the entrance of the Nature Preserve! Regardless we had a good time walking around and took in the views.
