*Disclaimer: This is “unofficially” dog friendly. I cannot 100% say it is due to the fact I didn’t get a response from the farmers market. However, no one gave us a hard time when we went and other dogs have been spotted at the event for the past couple weeks. I will update this post if anything changes.
The North Union Farmers Market has both indoor and outdoor markets throughout the year. We have been to the Outdoor Farmers Market over the summer at Crocker Park. This year, the indoor market is located at the former 87 West location at 287 Crocker Park Blvd in Westlake, Ohio. The market runs from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays from January 13 – March 31, 2018. Products at the market include antibiotic- and hormone-free beef, pork, and poultry and dairy products, organic maple syrup, honey, farm-fresh eggs, cheeses, winter greens, herbs, apples, potatoes, lettuces, organic grains, specialty baked goods, greenhouse grown vegetables and root vegetables. And most importantly, Lake Erie Pet Food Co. sells their pet food, treats, and paw butter at the market! We stopped by to pick up our order of Chicken and Brown Rice dog food, along with some Chicken Snack treats! Lake Erie Pet Food Co. also gives out free samples of their pet food if your dog hasn’t tried it yet. We switched to their pet food last year due to Bella having a sensitive stomach to store bought food and I am glad we made the switch! Unfortunately the Indoor market is not very as the Outdoor market, but it was great to be able to stop by real quick with the dogs to do a little shopping. Stop by the Indoor Winter Farmers Market to pick up some dog treats and food and try out some fresh local products for yourself while you are there. There are also many other dog friendly places in Crocker as well while you are there (we have them listed here).
