After having a cold and snowy weekend, Bella and I managed to get out of the house to check out a place we haven’t been to: Mill Creek Falls (also known as Cataract Falls, find more info here). This waterfall is within the Cleveland limits and is a diamond in the rough. This 48 foot waterfall was acquired by the Cleveland Metroparks in 2002. There is two levels of the observation deck that is right along the waterfall. There is a short path that leads to an area where you can look at the falls from afar. A short loop with some art elements and a parking lot can be found near the falls but there is not much else to the area. It’s not the best spot to take your dog on a long walk but it does have a nice view that you can enjoy with your dog. You can, however, take a path that leads to Garfield Park Reservation, which we will venture to another day. Mill Creek Falls is one of the several waterfalls in the Greater Cleveland area. Keep in tune for the others, as I plan to visit them all with Bella over the summer.
