**UPDATE! as of 4/3/2017
I received an email from the City of Bay Village to update this post.
As they stated, “Residents may take a dog “on leash” only down to the park/beach but it is not designated as a dog beach. By ordinance dogs are not permitted off-leash in Bay Village.”
Please comply with this statement. Your dog must be on a leash! Please disregard information from my original post. I have taken out some of the previous information. Please disregard the photos of Bella being off-leash, this park does not allow it! If you go to this park, please keep your dog on-leash and always clean up after your dog.
Any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Columbia Park is located at Lake and Columbia Road in Bay Village. You can park at a parking lot across the road. There is a set of stairs that lead down to beach. There is a nice waterfall feature that leads down towards the lake as well. There are no lifeguards at the beach so you need to be safe and take all precautions. The water quality is good there and Bella enjoyed swimming and running in it. Bella enjoyed this park/beach a lot. We spent a couple hours there. There were a handful of other dogs there. Bella became friends with Bailey and Ivy.
By ordinance, dogs are not permitted off-leash in Bay Village. Please keep your dog on leash. Please disregard the pictures of the dogs off-leash in the pictures below as information has changed since the previous verison. Please be in compliance with the city by keeping your dog on leash. And as always, pick up after your dog!
