Barkbox is a monthly subscription box that brings you 4-6 products of dog treats, chews, and toys. You have many options of how long you want your subscription to last (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) and if it’s for a small, medium, or large sized dog. These boxes are $29 for 1 month and discounts apply for when you purchase more than 1 month. They now have an option for Super Chewer boxes, which retails for $39. Shipping is free to those who live in the Continental US. You can get a free Barkbox with code DOGLIFEINCLE. They are very clever with monthly themes and items that coordinate well with the theme. You can also buy items from the box at BarkShop or you can purchase items at Target! This review is for a box for a large sized dog.

The Theme:

This month’s theme is Knight’s of the Hound Table! The decorative paper had a renaissance scene of the king, queen, and knights at the castle and fighting off dragons. The other side was a scroll with a mad lib to fill in for a tale. The paper insert included a paper crown to tear from it to put on your dog’s head. The toys fit right along with the theme with King Arfur and a turkey leg. Treats were a hit too. This box was a great value and another hit in our household. You have pictures of your dog with this month’s Barkbox? Use hashtag’s #KingArfur, #barkbox, and #barkboxday on social media and share them!

Keep in mind this is box I am reviewing is the LARGE sized dog box. Take a look at what’s inside:

The Toys:

Tavern Turkey Leg ($12) – This BARK toy is  a plush turkey leg stuffed with fluff and a bonus squeaky ball inside. Mia picked this toy as her favorite of the two. It didn’t take her long to pull out the stuffing to get to the ball inside.

King Arfur ($14) –  This BARK toy is a plush stuffing filled toy with giggle stick inside. This toy was Bella’s favorite. It didn’t the dogs long to get to the giggle stick inside.

The Treats and Chews:

Dynamic Chewo Tuna and Chicken ($10) – These disc treats are made by Bark in the USA. They are 8 kcal per treat and contain the following ingredients (now conveniently listed on the website):Tuna, Chicken, Salmon, Whitefish, Potato Flour, Cane Molasses, Glycerin, Dextrose, Flaxseed, Salt, Dried Vinegar, Pork Broth, Zinc Propionate, Rosemary Extract, Mixed Tocopherols. They are stinky but the pups thought they were quite delicious!

Friar Hogg’s Hearty Stew ($8) – These stick treats are made by Bark in the USA. These savory duck flavored treats are 10 kcal per treat and are made out of Pork, Brown Rice, Pearled Barley, Oatmeal, Vegetable Glycerin, Potato Starch, Potatoes, Carrots, Canola Oil (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Ground Flaxseed, Salt, Natural Smoke Flavor, Pork Stock, Citric Acid (a natural preservative), Acetic Acid (a natural preservative). And they are wheat, corn, and soy free! These were gobbled up quick!

Thinkers Duck Stick ($3) – This chew is made by Plato Pet Treats in the USA. They are with real duck meat and all-natural, organic ingredients (including gingko biloba) and packed full of DHA and Omega-3 fatty acid. This chew is easy to break in half and share between the pups.

The Conclusion

The retail value of this box is $47! Barkbox does a great job as always with coming up with awesome theme and following through with them throughout the box. I loved the Knight’s of the Hound Table theme. The turkey leg was and the paper crown were my favorite to see. Everytime the girls see the Barkbox brought in from outside, they always get really excited cause they know they get new toys and treats!
